Meet and Greet at Boutwells in Stillwater
Recently Maureen attended a Meet and Greet at Boutwells Landing in Stillwater. More than three dozen delegates from Senate District 52, Senate District 56, and interested residents filled the room to listen to Maureen talk about her background and vision for the campaign.
Maureen spoke at length about her views on the health care legislation in Congress, and her experience as a medical doctor. She said, "I worked at the Fremont Community Clinic serving uninsured patients here in Minnesota, but I've also traveled with my husband to East Africa to study and review rural public health projects. On one trip to Uganda, I worked with local dairy farmers, developing a plan that allowed them to pool their resources, providing them with unprecedented access to health care. I know the problems in our health care system, and as your Congresswoman, I will work tirelessly to ensure that Congress complete comprehensive reform that will cover everyone and lower the costs."
