Bachmann needs to use these forums to explain her poor legislative record on job creation.

Today, Michele Bachmann will host four job forums across the 6th district in St Cloud, Monticello, Blaine, and Hugo. The Reed Campaign calls on Bachmann to use these forums to explain her legislative record of opposing job creation.

"Sixth district residents need a good explanation why Michele Bachmann has repeatedly voted against job creation. With record unemployment, the district needs more than job forums, it needs a congressional representative who will work hard to create jobs, not kill them." said Jason Isaacson, campaign manager for the Maureen Reed for Congress Campaign, "Michele Bachmann has not passed any legislation in her over three year tenure in Congress to create jobs. In fact, she has stood in the way, attempting to delay and obstruct bills that would create jobs and make a difference for the people of the district."

Here's a quick look at the Bachmann record on jobs:
• Bachmann voted against the Recovery and Reinvestment Act which created jobs 56,000 jobs in Minnesota in the first quarter of 2010.
• Bachmann voted against the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act which worked to created good paying green jobs.
• Bachmann even voted against the Unemployment Benefits Extension, a bill extending unemployment benefits for those who have lost their jobs.
• In addition, Bachmann voted against the Helping Families Save their Home Act, which worked to keep middle class families in their homes.

"It is clear that Bachmann's focus is not her district, but on her political ambitions," Isaacson said. "Maureen Reed is running for Congress to get the job done for the middle class and people of the 6th district. Maureen is the only candidate in the race who has created jobs and balanced budgets in the private sector. Washington is not working because it is dominated by partisan politicians who will not work together to turn our economy around. Maureen has the real world experience to cut through the partisan posturing and get the job done."
